During our first 10 years, CSBR was hosted by Women for Women’s Human Rights (WWHR) – New Ways in Turkey. In this period, our focus was strengthening cross-regional networking for members and allies; and amplifying the voices, experiences and demands of women’s rights and LGBT activists from Muslim societies, particularly in regional and international forums.
We also launched the Sexuality Institute in 2008, what became our flagship training program that provides direct support to strengthen the capacity and leadership of activists to integrate a holistic approach to sexual and bodily rights as human rights across Muslim societies.
